Application processing

Det Norske Veritas (DNV) has been engaged as an independent expert quality assurer for each individual application. Based on recommendations from DNV, the administration will give its recommendation to the Board as regards the amount of support which the relevant application shall be granted.

The NOx Fund holds board meetings approximately every month where submitted applications are processed. The NOx Fund will give priority to applications for support to measures which can be implemented in 2011. The NOx Fund will seek to support measures that also contribute to the development of new technology and improved cost-efficiency.

When processing applications the following prioritization will be used:

• Date for implementation – time critical factors
  • Measures implemented in 2011 will be given high priority
• Type of enterprise
  • Enterprises with good implementation ability will be given high priority
• Type of measure
  • Measures with safe and lasting reduction (technical rebuilding of engines and gas operation)
  • Measures with large reductions
  • Measures where the Fund’s support is important  for the realization of the project
• Application date
  • In cases of otherwise like applications, applications submitted early will be given priority.
