Tore Lærdal fra Laerdal Medical er utnevnt til ridder av 1. klasse

Tore Lærdal ble utnevnt for sin innsats for å redusere mødre- og barnedødelighet i mange utviklingsland.

Ass. fylkesmann i Rogaland, Harald Thune, tildeler St. Olavs Orden til Tore Lærdal.

Tore Lærdal ble nominert av Stein Tore Nilsen, forskningsdirektør SUS og Marit Boyesen, rektor på UiS.

Utnevnelsen fant sted i SAFER ((Stavanger Acute Medicine Foundation for Education and Research) i Stavanger.

Leder av SAFER, Else Søyland nevnte: “You dream big. You set the course and press forward. You motivate everyone around you with your mission of Helping Save Lives.”
